1992년 리들리 스콧 감독의 영화인 "1492"은 콜럼버스의 미대륙 발견 500주년을 기념한 영화이다.   "The Conquest Of Paradise (낙원의 정복자)"는 반젤리스(본명:에방겔로스 오디세아스 파파타나시우 Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou)가 작곡한 영화 주제곡으로 꿈을 향해 달려가는 선도자의 열망을 잘 드러낸 음악이라고 평가받는다.   이 후에 많은 아티스트들이 다시 불렀는데, 벨기에 가수 다나 위너는 2002년에 앨범 'Unforgettable Too' 을 발표하면서 이 곡을 담았다.
