Enigma 의 수수께끼는 2집 [The Cross of Changes]에서도 유감없이 발휘된다.

다양한 실험과 매끄러운 사운드로 점철된 이 앨범은 전작의 성공 이후에 개인적인 경험을 자전적으로 풀어낸 것이다.  전작과 다른 점은 여러 민족의 민요를 차용한 듯한 혐의를 곳곳에서 감지할 수 있다는 것. 주술적인 요소가 다분히 삽입된 이 앨범의 백미는 `Return To Innocence`인데, 우리 민요 `뱃노래`를 연상시키는 이색적인 곡이지만,  듣는 이로 하여금 경건한 맘까지 갖게 만든다.
